Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical teams by rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and entering information into the EMR in a busy outpatient setting.

The role includes assisting with procedures, chaperoning providers, preparing exam rooms, and coordinating supplies, with a strong emphasis on patient comfort and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtaining vitals
• Entering patient information into electronic medical record (EMR)
• Setting up and assisting with office procedures
• Chaperone providers during patient examination
• Taking pre-op and post-op photos of patients
• Maintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS)
• Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology
• Maintaining and stocking exam rooms
• Ordering clinical supplies
• Completing FMLA and Disability forms
• Cleaning and resetting exam rooms
• Other duties as assigned
