Job summary

Human Touch Home Health is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Blacksburg, VA office. You will help keep the office organized, handle calls, greet visitors, and support recruiting, onboarding, and documentation tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

You should be organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy healthcare office environment. This role offers a stable, weekday, on-site schedule with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous administrative, clerical, or office experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Healthcare or home health experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate team member.
• Greet visitors and provide professional, friendly assistance.
• Assist with filing, scanning, copying, and data entry.
• Maintain organized employee and patient records.
• Support recruiting and onboarding activities.
• Track employee documentation, licenses, certifications, and required credentials.
• Assist with compliance-related administrative tasks.
• Provide scheduling and office coordination support.
• Prepare and organize documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Communicate with staff regarding missing or required documentation.
• Assist leadership and other departments with administrative projects as needed.
• Help keep the office organized, professional, and ready for the day.

What Your Day May Look Like

You’ll be one of the people our staff, applicants, patients, and visitors depend on to keep the office organized and running smoothly.

Who We’re Looking For

You should be comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
