Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, invites applications for a senior administrative leadership role in Newport News, VA. The position oversees and coordinates administrative functions, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting for the ET&D division and related processes.

The role requires a Bachelor's (or Master’s) degree with several years of progressive supervisory experience; equivalencies are allowed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
Equivalent qualifications may be substituted as listed (NNS Apprentice School graduate; NNPS graduate; 2-year degree with 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years non-exempt; Military Paygrade E-5+; High School/GED with 4–8 years manufacturing/shipbuilding experience)

Responsibilities

Represent organizational unit on administrative matters and implement company policies.
Oversee and manage employees on loan to the ET&D division and coordinate with ET&D managers.
Submit and manage Process Director invoices for subcontractor labor and ensure value of work performed.
Submit DD254s for contracted work and perform monthly reporting.
