The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Administrative Support Associate to assist PIs and lab staff. Duties include scheduling, grant preparation, correspondence, requisitions, and travel forms in a hybrid setting.
The role also coordinates cancer center programs, arranges meetings, communicates program activities, coordinates with consultants and advisors, and helps organize events, guest lectures, and research proposals.

The position provides assistance to the assigned investigators (PIs) and their laboratory or project personnel. Duties performed are general administrative duties, including scheduling, preparation of grants, correspondence and letters, requisitions, travel forms, etc. This position will also provide program coordination for one or more of the cancer center’s research programs. Duties include organizing program meetings, dissemination/communication of program activities, organizing interactions with program consultants and advisors, program events, guest speakers, and research proposals.
This is a hybrid temporary positions. This position will require working 4 days a week in the office and 1 day a week from home.
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
