The Department of Psychiatry at UNC Chapel Hill is seeking a temporary, Social/Clinical Research Assistant (Study Coordinator) to support all aspects of research procedures including data collection, recruitment, scheduling and participant tracking.
Reporting to the Principal Investigator and supporting 4 active studies, the role includes regulatory oversight, administering lab sessions and supervising staff and students. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

The Department of Psychiatry at UNC Chapel Hill is seeking a temporary, Social/Clinical Research Assistant (Study Coordinator). As study coordinator, the primary purpose of this position is to work closely with the Principal Investigator (Elizabeth Andersen Ph.D.) to support all aspects of research procedures, including data collection and management, recruitment, scheduling, and participant tracking. The study coordinator will be responsible for recruitment, scheduling enrollment and lab visits, tracking participant compliance, data management and regulatory oversight for 4 active studies (1 clinical trial). They will also be responsible for administering lab sessions and supervising other staff and students.
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
1) Excellent interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally with various stakeholders or produce professional emails or other correspondence
2) Experience preparing and submitting IRB modifications
3) Experience with data management, including REDcap
4) Experience working with or conducting research with adolescents
5) Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
