Abbott in Lake Bluff, IL, is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to provide advanced administrative support to Divisional VPs and managers. This onsite role requires handling a wide range of office tasks and coordinating travel, meetings, and documents.
The candidate will use Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other business software, with opportunities to train on new tools and support multiple leaders within CHR Corporate Human Resources.

This position works out of our Lake Bluff, IL location in the CHR Corporate Human Resources. This is an onsite position.
As the administrative assistant II, you will provide advanced administrative support to one or more Divisional Vice Presidents and other managers/directors as assigned. May provide backup support to higher‑level management as needed.
Responsibilities include all administrative functions of the department: Answering phones. Calendar management. Scheduling travel. Managing correspondence and scheduling couriers. Processing expense reports. Meeting/event planning. Creating or modifying business documents. Preparing presentations from source materials. Handling teleconference and BlackBerry setups. Acting as a liaison for remote access issues. May include some support for tracking budget expenditures. Coordinates and maintains departmental files, as assigned, in compliance with corporate and government regulations. Follows purchasing and requisition procedures, Corporate Security and Privacy Rules, Corporate Branding Guidelines, and Copy Center procedures (if applicable). Orders business cards and stationery. Uses basic to intermediate software skills to perform work assigned. Uses and understands Microsoft Office Suite and other business specific software, including the Corporate Travel Web site, and employee performance management systems (as applicable). Coordinates new employee office setups and on‑boarding. May train/coordinate work for new administrative assistants.
High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred. 1 year of previous admin experience or equivalent. Operates with general instruction and some supervision. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Visio or OrgPlus, and Lotus Notes or Outlook.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat, Visio or OrgPlus, and Outlook required. Microsoft Power Apps knowledge preferred.
The base pay for this position is $22.50 – $45.00/hour In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
