Job summary

Strayer University Adjunct Faculty supervises and educates pre-licensure LPN students during clinical experiences at approved hospital sites. The role combines on-site supervision with online didactic instruction, evaluation of clinical performance, and collaboration with program leadership and clinical partners.

This is an adjunct, non-tenure track position. Travel may be occasional; duties include ensuring patient safety and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while supporting

Qualifications

• RN license in the state where clinical instruction occurs
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
• Minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience in acute care or relevant settings
• Experience teaching or supervising pre-licensure nursing students in clinical/online settings

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, on-site clinical supervision of pre-licensure LPN students at assigned hospital/healthcare facilities.
• Ensure safe, evidence-based nursing practice by students per course objectives and standards.
• Orient students to clinical sites, policies, and professional conduct expectations.
• Supervise and evaluate students’ clinical skills, documentation, and patient care.
• Collaborate with Clinical Coordinator and LPN Program Director to ensure consistent instruction and regulatory compliance.
