Job summary

Strayer University, LLC seeks an adjunct Clinical Faculty member to supervise and educate pre-licensure LPN students during online instruction and in-person clinicals at approved hospital sites. The role blends hands-on supervision with virtual teaching to reinforce course objectives and patient safety.

The position is non-tenure track and requires an active RN license and a BSN; Washington DC license upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active, unencumbered RN license.
• Washington DC license required upon hire.
• Minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Experience teaching or supervising pre-licensure nursing students in clinical settings.
• Ability to travel occasionally; remote/hybrid work arrangements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct on-site clinical supervision of pre-licensure LPN students.
• Ensure safe, evidence-based nursing practice by students.
• Orient students to clinical site policies and expectations.
• Supervise and evaluate students’ clinical skills and patient care.
• Intervene to ensure patient safety and student learning.
• Collaborate with Clinical Coordinator and Program Director for consistent instruction and compliance.
