Job summary

Utah Transit Authority is hiring for an ADA Evaluator role in paratransit services. You will determine eligibility for ADA assistance, review applications, conduct in-person interviews, and assess applicants’ ability to use fixed-route services.

The position requires an associate degree and strong communication with the public. Ideal candidates have experience with diverse populations and proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in a related field is required.
• Three years working with the public, including elderly, physically, developmentally, and/or cognitively disabled customers in a training-related field.
• Must have a valid Utah Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Determine the eligibility of customers to receive additional assistance under the ADA.
• Review applications, conduct in-person interviews, and perform eligibility assessments.
• Ascertain the applicant’s functional ability to ride fixed-route services; may be on feet or walking up to 5 miles daily.
• Minimize risk and budgetary impacts by interpreting assessment information and sources as needed.
• Communicate UTA policies and ADA guidelines to applicants and answer inquiries about eligibility.
• Create and maintain accurate, detailed records and reports.
• Provide administrative backup support to the ADA Evaluation Office Administrator and Mobility Center.
