The role owns the operational engine, ensuring documentation is complete and employees and leaders have clear guidance at every step. You will collaborate with Accommodations SME, HR, Legal, and Facilities, expand coverage to related leave types, and contribute to global governance and training materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR-related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of HR/Employee Relations/Accommodations administration experience.
• Foundational knowledge of the ADA, FMLA, and related state/local disability and leave frameworks.
• Experience managing a high-volume caseload with deadlines and documentation.
• Familiarity with HRIS/case management tools (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow) and Excel/MS Office for tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of accommodation cases end-to-end for U.S. salaried employees.
• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for employees, managers, and HRBPs with clear explanations of process steps and timelines.
• Ensure all required forms and documentation are issued, returned, reviewed, and actioned within timeframes; track deadlines and follow up.
• Document case notes, decisions, and rationale in the case management system in an audit-ready manner.
• Partner with Accommodations SME, HR, Legal, Facilities to gather information and prepare recommendations.
• Document and maintain U.S. accommodations best practices, templates, and process flows.
• Prepare reference guides explaining GM’s ADA-type case management in the U.S.
• Contribute to global reporting as regions begin tracking accommodations.
• Participate in continuous improvement, including audits and health checks.
