Job summary

General Motors seeks an experienced RA Specialist to coordinate U.S. salaried ADA and workplace accommodation cases, driving an efficient, compliant operations engine while ensuring complete documentation and clear guidance for employees and leaders.

You will broaden coverage to related leaves, support global expansion of GM’s accommodations model, and help build training resources to raise awareness and participation in the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in HR, Employee Relations, Leave/Accommodations administration, Benefits, or similar HR operations.
• Foundational knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and state/local disability frameworks; apply guidance in practice.
• Experience managing high-volume caseloads with strong organization and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of accommodation cases end-to-end for U.S. salaried employees, ensuring timely and policy-aligned interactions.
• Serve as day-to-day point of contact for employees, managers, and HRBPs, explaining steps, timelines, and documentation needs.
• Ensure all forms and documentation are issued, returned, reviewed, and actioned within deadlines; track deadlines and follow up.
• Document case notes and rationale in the case management system in an audit-ready manner.
• Partner with Accommodations SME, HR, Legal, Facilities, and others to gather information and prepare recommendations for final determinations.
