St James Hospital in Montana seeks a Patient Access Registration Specialist I to provide exemplary customer service and manage registration and scheduling for patients and visitors. The role ensures accurate data entry, insurance verification, and prompt collection of co-pays and balances in a fast-paced setting.

Under Intermountain Health guidelines, you will support patient flow, privacy compliance, and coordination with clinical staff while handling pre-certifications and referrals as needed.

Formación

• Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems and healthcare software.
• Experience with Epic preferred.
• Customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, required.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and assist patients and visitors professionally.
• Verify patient demographic, financial, and insurance information.
• Register and schedule patients for appointments, tests, and procedures.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances due at the time of service.
• Provide information on financial assistance and payment plans.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms and disclosures.
• Provide directions and parking information.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care.
• Document and update patient records in the electronic health system.
• Follow up on pending issues like prior authorizations and referrals.
