Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare registration.
• Coursework/Training: Some college level coursework preferred, particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) upon hire.
• Previous registrar and third party payor experience.

Responsibilities

• Secure appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance and medical information and ensuring timely, accurate documentation.
• Provide superior customer service to patients, visitors, physicians and staff, including during high-volume or stressful periods.
• Maintain knowledge of complex compliance requirements and insurance plans that frequently change.
