Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care (AAS) or higher is required.
• CRT license is required and RCP licensure must be maintained.
• RRT preferred depending on department needs and location.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to department goals and adheres to policies, quality and safety standards.
• Assesses patient needs including physical, psychosocial and cultural aspects; documents appropriately.
• Performs respiratory therapies including oxygen, humidity, bronchodilators and ventilator care.
• Monitors patients, reviews orders, and participates in CPR and airway management.
• Facilitates interdepartmental workflow and suggests process improvements.
• Complies with all hospital policies and uses resources efficiently.
