MedStar Health in Maryland is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care across all patient populations under physician orders and established protocols. The role requires careful assessment, patient education, and safe operation of all respiratory equipment.

You will perform therapies and monitoring (ventilators, oxygen, spirometry, EKGs, blood gas analysis), document care, and support crisis response.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory care required; AMA accredited program.
• Less than 1 year Acute Care experience; Registry eligible.
• RCP license in MD/DC region required.
• NBRC CRT required; RRT preferred.
• CPR and ACLS within 1 year where required.

Responsabilités

• Provide respiratory care per physician orders following standards.
• Assess patient dimensions and document educational needs.
• Perform respiratory therapies and manage equipment (ventilators, oxygen, spirometry).
• Review EMRs and physician orders during shift.
• Respond to CPR situations and support airway management.
