MedStar Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient-focused respiratory care across diagnostic procedures and therapy modalities. You will follow physician orders, operate and monitor equipment, and ensure safety standards in a fast-paced acute care setting.

The role requires Maryland licensure or eligibility, CRT certification, and current CPR with BLS/NRP. 0–3 years of experience preferred; a clinical team environment values clear communication and collaboration.

Formación

• Associate degree or higher in respiratory care required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related healthcare field preferred.
• 0–3 years of acute care experience required.
• Registry eligibility required.
• CRT certification required.
• RCP license preferred.
• Must process and maintain license to practice Respiratory Care in Maryland.
• CPR (BLS and NRP) within 90 days required.
• ACLS NRP PALS and other certifications may be required within a year where required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide respiratory care as ordered by physicians.
• Perform treatments and monitor equipment.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs.
• Review electronic medical records and orders.
• Respond to CPR scenarios and manage airway support.
• Promote workflow efficiency and departmental improvements.
