Job summary

Anduril Industries in California is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the detailed design of rotary and linear actuators for defense systems. You will drive development in sensing, eMachines, and electromechanical gear systems with a strong manufacturing focus to enable high-rate production.

Based out of Long Beach, CA, this role emphasizes durable, manufacturable designs, rigorous GD&T documentation, and collaboration with manufacturing teams to optimize cooling and testing using real

Qualifications

Owned mechanical design of at least 1 actuator from concept to production.
Experience in design and analysis of geared actuation systems.
Proficient in mechanical drawings with ASME Y14.5 GD&T.

Responsibilities

Own detailed mechanical design of rotary and linear actuators.
Drive development in sensing, eMachines, and electromechanical gear systems.
Design with manufacturing and assembly in mind for production rates.
Evaluate cooling solutions for applications.
Design durability test profiles using vehicle usage data.
Lead continuous improvement and data analysis initiatives.
