Job summary

Oasis at 56th seeks a dedicated Activities Coordinator to lead our resident activity team, designing engaging programs and coordinating a monthly calendar. You will manage budgets, transportation, and the Resident Council, while fostering community involvement and ensuring high-quality activities aligned with resident needs.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and organizational skills, with experience in healthcare settings and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 21+ years old preferred with clean driving record.
  • Experience in healthcare settings is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Activity team and guide residents through programs and events.
  • Design and facilitate recreational and social programs that encourage participation from residents, families, employees, and the community.
  • Develop a monthly activities calendar tailored to diverse resident needs and document participation and progress.
  • Oversee the activities budget and manage equipment/supplies inventory to maximize resources.
  • Drive the company van for organized outings as part of the transportation program.
  • Coordinate the Resident Council and foster empowerment and engagement.
  • Assess program impact regularly and adjust to evolving resident needs.
  • Coordinate the Community newsletter as a resource for resident connection and information.
