Job summary

Cambridge House of Maryville is seeking an Activities/Program Assistant to transport residents, interview new admissions, and document daily activity participation. The role requires compassionate engagement and strong communication to tailor programs to resident interests.

The position involves planning activities, managing equipment inventories, coordinating newsletters, and liaising with residents and the council to ensure input is reflected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must hold valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience driving a company vehicle for resident transport preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drives company van on organized outings as needed.
  • Interviews residents on admission to determine likes and dislikes.
  • Documents residents’ participation in activities daily.
  • Plans and maintains inventory of activity equipment and supplies.
  • Evaluates effectiveness and updates activity program accordingly.
  • Plans and coordinates the community newsletter.
  • Coordinates with resident council for input into the activity program.
  • Coordinates resident shopping orders.
  • Engages residents with warmth, compassion, and dignity in interactions.
  • Engages in ongoing learning through seminars and staff meetings.
