Complete Care is seeking a compassionate, creative Activity Director to lead our recreation department in a senior living community. You will design and lead programs that encourage socialization, creativity, and well-being while fostering a welcoming, home-like atmosphere.

As an energetic leader, you will supervise staff, plan monthly calendars, collaborate with nursing and families, and ensure documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or completed relevant certification program.
• Active ADC (Activity Director Certified), CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner), or CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with healthcare electronic record systems.
• Exceptional time management, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Design, plan, and execute monthly activity calendars, community newsletters, and special event calendars for residents and staff.
• Create diverse large and small group programs, hospitality initiatives, and tailored sensory activities to meet individual resident needs.
• Supervise, mentor, and schedule Recreation Department team members.
• Maintain precise documentation, participate in care planning, and oversee monitoring systems in compliance with state guidelines.
• Demonstrate dynamic knowledge of State survey processes, Quality Assurance programs, and Resident Rights.
• Oversee and maintain the department budget effectively to maximize resources for resident programs.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary facility leadership, nursing staff, and families to support holistic resident care.
