Job summary

SpartanNash in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Store Operations Associate to support daily store activities in the absence of leadership. You will assist customers, run the cashier and courtesy desk, and ensure accurate time clock records.

You’ll know store layout, safety equipment, perform regular inspections, keep shelves well stocked, and maintain PPE and food safety standards. This role may require lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Experience with customer service and sales techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor adherence to company policies.
• Run cashier register and courtesy desk and assist customers efficiently.
• Be familiar with store layout and safety equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and provide feedback to managers.
• Maintain time clock records in the absence of leadership.
• May close the store, secure doors, and arm the store at shift end.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked shelves and safe working conditions.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
