Job summary

SpartanNash, a food solutions company, is seeking a store operations professional for our Charlevoix, Michigan location. This role directs and coordinates activities in the absence of senior management to ensure efficient operations and the financial best interest of the store.

You will monitor policy adherence, run cashier and courtesy counter desks, assist customers, understand store layout, conduct area inspections, handle time clock duties, close the store when needed, keep shelves stocked,

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Suggestive selling / Knowledge of products.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Monitor associates' adherence to company policies.
• Able to run cashier register and courtesy desk and handle customer concerns efficiently.
• Understand store layout and location of safety equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and provide feedback to managers.
• In absence of Store Director or department manager, manage time clock maintenance.
• May close store: lock doors, turn off lights, arm store.
• Know product locations to assist customers.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked store.
• Follow PPE, safety, and cleaning guidelines.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
