Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a part-time team member for our Grand Haven store. The role supports store operations, assists customers, and helps maintain a clean, well-organized shopping environment.

Responsibilities include cashier duties, policy adherence, and supporting department managers during shifts. Prior retail experience is preferred, with strong attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (preferred).
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
• Basic mathematical skills
• Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products
• Detail Oriented

Responsibilities

• Monitor associates' adherence to company policies.
• Run cashier register and courtesy counter desk; handle customer concerns in an efficient manner.
• Understand store layout and location of safety and emergency equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas and provide feedback to department managers.
• In the absence of the Store Director or department manager, handle time clock maintenance.
• May close the store: lock all doors, turn off lights, arm store, etc.
• Know product locations to assist customers.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-stocked store.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety, cleaning and guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
