Job summary

Brex is seeking an Operations Manager in Salt Lake City to lead a servicing portfolio, ensuring accurate money movements, billing changes, and timely credit operations. You will coach a team, enforce SLAs, and own automation initiatives in a fast-growing environment.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal to drive improvements, reporting, and audit-ready controls while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and compliance. This role is hybrid with in-office and remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services or fintech operations.
• 2+ years in people management with hiring and development.
• Ownership of a servicing, billing, payment, or credit ops queue with controls.
• Track record of measurable process improvements.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering; write requirements and test builds.
• Data fluency to pull and defend numbers in SQL, spreadsheets, or BI tools.
• Strong written communication and ambiguity handling.
• AI in scaled operations perspective.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop a team of servicing specialists.
• Defend SLAs and capacity models across workflows.
• Define operational reporting cadences and measures.
• Write and maintain SOPs, QA sampling, and maker-checker controls.
• Escalation path for high-dollar, time-critical, legal cases with Legal/Compliance.
• Own the automation roadmap and quantify ROI.
