Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Eden Prairie, MN for an immediate start. The contract position runs for 4-5 months with a pay range of $25-$32 per hour.

You will process cash receipts, monitor aging, and perform collections while maintaining accurate customer records. Collaboration with Sales, Service, and Accounting is essential to resolve issues and support month-end close.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years in AR, Billing, Collections, or General Accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage, or Acumatica).
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reporting functions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process daily cash receipts and apply payments to customer accounts.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due invoices.
• Conduct collection activities via calls, emails, and correspondence.
• Resolve payment discrepancies and billing issues.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts with accurate records.
• Reconcile AR balances and assist with month-end close.
• Generate invoices, credit memos, and statements.
• Review credit applications and support approvals.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting to resolve issues.
• Maintain detailed collection notes and AR documentation.
• Prepare AR reports and metrics for management.
• Assist process improvements to reduce outstanding receivables.

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate Accounts Receivable opportunity in the Eden Prairie that can start ASAP!

Responsibilities

• Process daily cash receipts and apply payments accurately to customer accounts.
• Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due invoices.
• Perform collection activities through phone calls, emails, and customer correspondence.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, and billing issues.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts, ensuring accurate records and documentation.
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances and assist with month-end close activities.
• Generate customer invoices, credit memos, and account statements as needed.
• Review credit applications and support credit approval processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments including Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting to resolve account issues.
• Maintain detailed collection notes and customer communication records.
• Prepare AR reports and metrics for management review.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce outstanding receivables.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
