The role collaborates with attorneys, accounting staff, and management to ensure precise distribution of funds and timely reporting. The position emphasizes strong organization, confidentiality, and attention to detail, with a Monday–Friday, in-office schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; accounting education is a plus.
• Accounts receivable, bookkeeping, banking, or accounting experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications is expected.
• Strong attention to detail, math, organization, and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive information.
• Law firm, collections, or financial services experience and knowledge of trust accounting are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately post payments and apply funds to the appropriate accounts.
• Prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile payment records and accounts receivable balances.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and account errors.
• Prepare client remittance reports, verify fees and deductions, and assist with disbursements.
• Respond to client questions about payments, balances, and remittances.
• Maintain organized financial records and assist with audits and accounting projects.
• Follow financial controls and protect confidential information.
