Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator in Morristown, IN to manage invoicing, payments, and collections for our truss manufacturing operation. You will work closely with Sales, Dispatch, Contracts, and Customer Service to ensure accurate billing and timely cash collection.

The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and 2+ years in AR or related accounting roles. This role emphasizes accuracy, customer communication, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting/business coursework preferred.
• Experience in AR, collections, or related accounting roles is desirable.
• Manufacturing or construction products experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely based on shipments and project billing.
• Apply customer payments to accounts (wire, ACH, card).
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Contact customers regarding overdue invoices and negotiate payment plans.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short pays, and disputes.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting docs.
• Reconcile AR balances and assist with month-end closing.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Scheduling, and Operations.
• Review credit status and assist with credit evaluations and limits.
• Prepare collections reports and aging summaries for management.
• Support audits and provide requested documentation.
• Ensure policy compliance and perform other related duties.
