Job summary

Instructure, a leader in education technology, seeks an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support AR operations, collections, billing accuracy, and project coordination. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Billing, and Customer Support to maintain accurate customer accounts and protect cash flow.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, professional communication, ownership of follow-up items, and capability to drive AR initiatives from planning through completion.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, Finance Operations, Credit, or related admin finance role.
• Strong understanding of AR collections, aging reports, customer follow-up, payment disputes, credit holds, notes, and escalation processes.
• Knowledge of AR credits including memos, corrections, adjustments, rebills, and approvals.
• Project management knowledge including building plans, tracking deliverables, deadlines, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage AR collections: review aging reports, follow up on overdue balances, document activity, escalate past-due accounts.
• Support AR operations: billing follow-up, cash application, reconciliation, invoice review, month-end close, reporting, process compliance.
• Review customer accounts, payment terms, credit holds, and payment history to support timely resolution.
• Resolve billing discrepancies, short/unapplied payments, duplicate invoices, and disputes promptly.
• Process AR credits: memos, adjustments, rebills, write-offs, documentation for approval.
