Job summary

United Contractor Services, LLC. is seeking a motivated Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist to join the accounting team and support daily AR activities. The role offers exposure to project-based work and collaboration with project teams on billing and collections.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of AR experience in the construction industry, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of AR processes. Reports to the accounting manager and contributes to month-end close.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable roles within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR processes.
• Experience with ERP systems such as ViewPoint or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Accounts Receivable process, posting receipts and contacting customers when AR is past due.
• Reconcile customer accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, and ensure timely receipts.
• Collaborate with accounting team on discrepancies between receipts and AR records.
• Coordinate waivers from sub-contractors as required by customers for payment of AR.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounting and finance matters.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to AR.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation for audits and compliance.
• Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining financial records.
• Review SAP Concur Audit expense reports as needed.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including reporting and correspondence.
• Contribute to process improvements and ensure adherence to company accounting policies.
• Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management.
• This position reports to the accounting manager.
