Job summary

The Addison Group in Eden Prairie, MN is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our growing accounting team. You will manage the full AR cycle, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and reconciliations, with 3+ years of AR experience preferred.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, hourly compensation of $28.00–$31.00, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in a full-cycle accounts receivable role, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and credit memos.
• Experience monitoring AR aging reports and performing account reconciliations.
• Strong ability to research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process customer invoices, credit memos, and account statements accurately and in a timely manner.
• Apply customer payments and reconcile cash receipts, deductions, and outstanding account balances.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past-due balances to support timely collections.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, chargebacks, and customer deductions.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate unapplied cash, discrepancies, and account variances.
• Partner with internal departments to resolve customer account questions and billing concerns.
• Assist with customer account maintenance, credit updates, and related documentation.
• Support month-end close activities, reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate customer records and supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve AR processes, strengthen controls, and support cash flow.
