Job summary

The Addison Group is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage commercial customer accounts, reconcile billing and payment activity, and resolve outstanding balances. This role focuses on AR, billing, and collections, with a strong emphasis on accurate record keeping and professional communication with customer accounts payable teams.

You will process invoices, follow up on past-due balances, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoicing issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or commercial account management.
• Experience reconciling accounts, researching discrepancies, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Comfortable making phone calls to customers regarding past-due payments and billing issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn new billing systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
• Ability to investigate problems, identify root causes, and follow issues through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial customer accounts, including account setup, credit limits, and payment terms.
• Reconcile customer accounts by reviewing invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Process monthly invoices and maintain accurate account records.
• Contact customer accounts payable departments to follow up on past-due balances and coordinate payment arrangements.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and escalated account concerns.
• Document customer interactions, account updates, and issue resolutions accurately.
• Prepare reports and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track account activity and outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoicing issues and address customer account needs.
