Job summary

Randstad USA in Bristol, CT is seeking an Entry Level Accounts Receivable specialist responsible for cash applications, billing support, and aging follow-up in a fast-paced finance team.

You will process payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers, collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, and assist in month-end close while maintaining client records and tax certificates. On-site hours 8 AM to 5 PM with competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Education: High School (required).
• Years of experience: 2 years.
• Experience level: Entry Level.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply incoming customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments) against open invoices in the ERP system.
• Assist with daily and weekly customer invoice generation, reviewing purchase orders, and distributing billing statements.
• Investigate short payments, deductions, pricing differences, and disputed invoices with internal teams to issue adjustments.
• Monitor AR aging and outreach for past-due balances via email and phone.
• Assist in reconciling daily cash receipts with bank activity and supporting monthly subledger close procedures.
• Maintain customer contact records, tax exemption certificates, and audit documentation.

Responsibilities

• Cash Application: Process and apply incoming customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments) accurately against open invoices in the ERP system.
• Billing & Invoicing: Assist with daily and weekly customer invoice generation, reviewing purchase orders, and distributing billing statements.
• Discrepancy Research: Investigate short payments, deductions, pricing differences, and disputed invoices, collaborating with internal teams to issue credit memos or adjustments.
• Aging & Follow-Up: Monitor the Accounts Receivable aging report and conduct professional, customer-friendly outreach via email and phone on past-due balances.
• Reconciliation Support: Assist in reconciling daily cash receipts with bank activity and supporting monthly subledger close procedures.
• Record Keeping & Customer Support: Maintain up-to-date customer contact records, tax exemption certificates, and documentation for audits.
