Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. in Northeast Ohio seeks a Customer Relations & Accounts Receivable Account Specialist to deliver excellent service, reduce delinquent accounts, coordinate payment resolution, and manage daily cash applications with precision.

You will collaborate across levels within the Customer Relations team to support departmental goals. This role emphasizes proactive communication, accuracy in cash postings, and timely dispute resolution, aligning with our mission to protect customers'

Qualifications

1–3 years experience in cash application, banking, or accounting.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and terminology; strong math skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Detail oriented with accuracy and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience with ERP/Accounting software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Apply daily cash timely and accurately.
Review customer receivables and coordinate payment resolution.
Communicate with customers and internal teams about collection issues.
Collaborate with Customer Relations to complete tasks promptly.
Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts to meet goals.
Facilitate invoice dispute resolution discussions with customers and Field teams.
Engage management when needed to accelerate collections.
Follow processes to communicate with employees at all levels.
Maintain effective relationships with customers.
Participate in training and any special projects as assigned.
