Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to join a large, collaborative accounting team at its Melville headquarters. This role focuses on billing, cash applications, and account reconciliations in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and prior office experience. This is an on-site position with opportunities for growth within a growing organization and exposure to corporate accounting operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Internship, administrative, customer service, or office experience within a corporate environment preferred.
• Prior Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and/or Pivot Tables.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Research and apply incoming customer payments to the appropriate invoices and accounts
• Assist with billing, invoicing, and cash application activities
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and account balances
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams regarding payment and billing questions
• Support high-volume accounting operations while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Utilize Excel to analyze and reconcile financial data
• Partner with accounting team members to support day-to-day financial operations
