Job summary

JobSquad Staffing Solutions seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function, develop the team, manage vendor relationships, and implement automation initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on AP expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability while maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive Accounts Payable or accounting experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems (NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks or similar).
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day AP operations including invoicing, coding, approvals, reconciliations, and payments.
• Lead, train, and develop the Accounts Payable team.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approvals.
• Oversee payment processing (checks, ACH, wires) ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain vendor relationships and act as escalation point for inquiries and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Finance for cash-flow forecasting and working capital initiatives.
• Support automated invoice processing and AP workflow improvements.
• Assist with audits and internal control compliance.
• Participate in cross-functional projects affecting AP and procurement.
