Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable Support Specialist in Minneapolis, MN. This long-term contract-to-hire role focuses on resolving AP tickets within Oracle and ServiceNow, supporting vendors and internal stakeholders in a high-volume environment.

You will handle supplier setups, 1099 matters, and work with AP teams across the organization to improve processes and training. Hybrid work arrangement expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of accounts payable experience in high-volume/shared services environment.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable processes, including ticket resolution, vendor support, and supplier setup.
• Familiarity with 1099-related processes in accounts payable.
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems; Oracle experience is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Resolve accounts payable support tickets in a timely and accurate manner, targeting ~75 tickets per week when ramped.
• Support Oracle and ServiceNow queues by reviewing, prioritizing, and clearing items to maintain a clean backlog.
• Provide responsive support to internal and external customers, including vendors and stakeholders.
• Handle supplier/vendor setup requests with accurate data entry and compliance with AP procedures.
• Research and analyze vendor accounts, invoices, and payment issues, including 1099 matters.
• Escalate complex issues to AP Supervisor or leadership.
• Offer training on AP procedures to operations and HQ personnel.
• Use metrics to identify trends and improve training materials and tools.
• Collaborate with AP and Accounting/Finance teams to ensure policy application.
• Participate in handling high volumes of ServiceNow requests (2,500–3,000/mo).
• Manage around 15 vendor calls per week initially, increasing over time.
• Document resolutions and vendor interactions in ServiceNow and other systems.
• Adapt to evolving workloads with a strong customer service mindset.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
