Job summary

Cincinnati Public Schools is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee the district's AP functions within the Treasurer’s Office. This role reports to the Assistant Treasurer/Controller and supervises AP staff, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or several years of AP and general ledger experience, with preference for supervisory background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is desirable or three to five years of demonstrated experience with general ledger, accounts payable and cash disbursement.
• Prefer experience with staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve AP invoices under $4,999.99 via AP workflow in Business Plus.
• Train staff on board policies and AP procedures.
• Coordinate year-end AP activities and schedule.
• Process weekly AP check runs and payments (EFT/ACH, checks).
• Manage vendor invoices from paper, email, or other methods.
• Assist with month-end AP tasks and liaison with central office.
