Job summary

CS Power Systems, a cutting-edge division of Canadian Solar, is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead daily AP activities, ensure accuracy and compliance, and drive process improvements within a fast-growing renewables business.

You will manage KPI reporting, coach AP staff, collaborate with Finance and Procurement, and support ERP upgrades while maintaining SOX and GAAP standards. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in AP, including 2+ in leadership, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and financial controls.
• Experience managing KPIs, SLAs, and process performance metrics.
• Proficiency in ERP accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, payment execution, expense reimbursements, and vendor account reconciliation.
• Ensure all transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and financial controls.
• Monitor AP aging, payment schedules, and vendor relationships to maintain strong financial stewardship.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Accounts Payable staff to achieve performance objectives and service standards.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and support employee development plans.
• Establish workforce resiliency through cross‑training, process documentation, and succession planning.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy, standardization, and automation of AP processes.
• Develop, document, and maintain AP policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX), company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and analyze monthly AP metrics, KPI reports, and management summaries.
• Monitor process performance and recommend corrective actions to improve operational effectiveness.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Procurement, and other business functions to support process enhancements and system implementations.
• Participate in ERP upgrades, payment technology enhancements, and organizational transformation initiatives.
