Job summary

McGill Environmental Systems seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead daily AP operations across multi-site environments. You will supervise staff, ensure timely invoice approvals and payments, and serve as the main vendor contact.

In this role you will drive efficiency, strengthen internal controls, support procurement initiatives, and help scale financial operations as the business grows. Leadership and process-improvement mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years progressive Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Finance experience.
• 3+ years leadership experience in an AP or accounting environment.
• Experience managing high-volume vendor communications and invoice workflows.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounts Payable team: supervise, coach, and develop staff; set priorities for timely invoicing and payments.
• Manage vendor communications across multiple AP inboxes and entities; resolve payment issues and discrepancies.
• Oversee invoice coding, approvals, and weekly payment runs; monitor AP aging reports and vendor statements.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP workflows; support AP automation and procurement partnerships.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and assist with audits and compliance.
