Job summary

SBA Communications seeks a Supervisor, Accounts Payable to lead day-to-day AP initiatives, establish workflows, and ensure accurate processing of invoices (PO and non-PO).

You will coach and manage team members, enforce policies, reconcile ledgers, support audits, and assist in integrations for deals and acquisitions. The role includes a stable career at a leading network company with comprehensive benefits and some remote work days, depending on role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an accounts payable team and staff.
• Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Experience with vendor onboarding and 1099 reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day initiatives of the Accounts Payable Leads and staff; establish standards, objectives, workflows, controls, and procedures for invoice processing.
• Identify and lead system and process improvements, enhancements, and automation.
• Develop and distribute data through improved reporting; evaluate reports and reporting needs.
• Coach, train and perform ongoing performance management of team members.
• Enforce policies for processing invoices, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
• Oversee reconciliation of AP sub-ledgers to the general ledger; fix suspended/aged items.
• Reconcile and resolve vendor discrepancies.
• Maintain SOX understanding to ensure compliance; assist auditors during walk-throughs.
• Support integration of new deals, acquisitions, data loads, and reconciliations into GP.
• Perform regular audits of work areas and provide customer service to internal/external customers.
• Support governmental reporting requirements (1099M, 1099S, PR480) and vendor tax reporting.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
