EMSL Analytical, Inc. in Cinnaminson, NJ is hiring an Assistant Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the AP team for U.S. and Canadian operations.

The role reports to the Controller and collaborates with Purchasing, Collections, and other accounting functions. The ideal candidate has extensive AP experience and strong leadership, is detail-oriented, and will manage daily to year-end processes while identifying process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 15+ years of progressive AP and/or accounting experience.
• Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring an AP team.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, month-end closing, vendor management, reconciliations, and payment procedures.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train the Accounts Payable team, assign workloads, coordinate priorities, and ensure timely completion of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual responsibilities.
• Oversee the daily processing of vendor invoices, including invoices from the Purchasing system and credit card transactions.
• Manage vendor payments (ACH, credit card, virtual card, and checks) and ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
• Oversee reconciliation of corporate credit card payment accounts.
• Coordinate AP month-end close with Controller and Senior Accounting team.
• Prepare and review monthly AP accrual and year-end 1099 data.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, systems, and workflows.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues.
