Job summary

Randstad USA in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead day-to-day AP operations. You will drive efficiency, enforce internal controls, manage high-volume processing, and oversee payments and vendor relations.

The role requires 5+ years of progressive AP experience, strong knowledge of full-cycle AP, GL coding, and a proven track record in a fast-paced environment. The position is permanent and on-site in Tarrytown.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience.
• Strong working knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable, GL coding, and accounting fundamentals.
• Experience in high-volume AP environment and vendor relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and process high-volume vendor invoices accurately within set turnarounds.
• Verify proper coding, departmental approvals, pricing, and supporting documentation.
• Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports.
• Execute weekly payment disbursements including check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Maintain updated vendor records, tax documentation (W-9s), and ledger accuracy.
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve unbilled invoices.
• Review employee expense reports for policy adherence and accurate allocation.
• Support month-end and year-end close tasks, including AP reconciliations and aging reviews.
• Collaborate across Purchasing, Operations, and Finance to streamline workflow.
• Identify process enhancements to optimize AP workflow and system.
• Maintain structured accounts payable records to support audits.
