Ultipro in Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure accurate, timely processing and payment of company obligations. You will maintain reliable AP records and respond to vendor and internal inquiries while supporting month-end close activities.

The role requires 2–3 years of AP experience, proficiency in Excel, and basic accounting knowledge. You will work with Macola, manage the AP inbox, and assist with year-end 1099s and audits.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Excel proficiency and basic accounting knowledge.
• Strong office skills: typing, filing, and vendor calls.

Responsibilities

• Process PO and non-PO invoices daily with approvals and GL coding.
• Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare AP open-items reports and process payments (check, wire, ACH).
• Handle employee loan ACHs and manual checks as needed.
• Scan invoices into Macola and manage AP documents.
• Maintain AP shared email and coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
• Reconcile AP GL accounts daily and research out-of-balance items.
• Re-order AP checks, envelopes, 1099s, etc., as needed.
• Assist with 1099s and year-end audit support.
