Job summary

Vaco is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our California-based finance team. You will process and post AP transactions, match invoices to POs, and ensure timely payments to vendors.

This role requires strong Excel proficiency and effective communication with vendors and internal teams. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in accounting with 2+ years in AP, and experience with Sage 100 or NetSuite is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience required.
• 2+ years of accounts payable experience required.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with Sage 100 or NetSuite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process, review and post accounts payable transactions, including matching invoices to purchase orders.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and service providers.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly accounts payable reports.
• Monitor invoice submissions and follow up with vendors.
• Maintain communication with Purchasing, Accounting, and other internal teams.
• Support daily accounts payable operations with accuracy and compliance.
