Job summary

Nan McKay and Associates seeks an Accounts Payable Associate to support the AP cycle under the Accounting Manager. You will review invoices, post to the GL, process batches, and prepare payments weekly, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.

Knowledge of GP and Concur is essential. Responsibilities include bank deposits, tax returns, vendor file maintenance, and data entry with confidentiality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of hands-on accounts payable experience.
• High school diploma; college accounting coursework; associate degree preferred.
• Experience considered in place of an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper authorization, code to G/L, and post to AP module.
• Process AP batches from Project Cost software.
• Prepare vendor payments weekly or as due date.
• Review employee credit card charges in Concur and post to GP.
• Prepare daily bank deposits and balance reports.
• Reconcile prepaid schedules and other AP accounts.
• Prepare monthly sales tax returns for required states.
• Prepare yearly property tax returns.
• Maintain vendor files and 1099s.
• Maintain vendor databases in GP.
