Job summary

Aston Carter is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for a large health system, based in Menands, NY. The role handles payables across multiple campuses, processes invoices, and supports month-end activities in an ERP environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in AP, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with internal teams and suppliers in a fast-paced setting. This is a Contract to Hire, onsite position with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years accounts payable experience.
• Experience with vendor invoices, reimbursements, refunds, and credits.
• Proficient in ERP software and accounting systems.
• Strong vendor communication with internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices, reimbursements, refunds, and credits in ERP on time.
• Ensure compliance with policies and approvals.
• Distribute mailed payments and maintain supplier files.
• Support month-end and year-end activities including 1099s.
• Respond to inquiries from departments and suppliers.
