Job summary

Waste Pro of Louisiana is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Lake Charles area team. The role handles processing invoices, PO logging, accruals, and vendor communications to ensure timely, accurate payments and clean monthly data.

The position supports regional AP activities and collaborates with operations to improve financial workflow and reporting. Previous AP experience and accounting education are valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years Accounts Payable experience with accruals knowledge.
• Proficiency with computers including MS Office and common AP software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain purchase order logs and coordinate PO approvals.
• Assist with software tracking of POs, purchases, and expenses to GL/AP.
• Process invoices after verification and PO alignment.
• Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely payments.
• Research discrepancies and maintain good vendor relations.
• Assist Regional AP Clerk with accruals and reporting.
• Provide clerical and accounting support as needed.
• Handle other tasks including customer service duties.
