Waste Pro of Louisiana seeks an Accounts Payable Clerk in Lake Charles, LA. The role handles invoices, purchase orders, accruals, vendor maintenance, credit memos, and stop payments to ensure timely payments and accurate monthly data.

Responsibilities include PO log maintenance, software data transfers to GL/AP, invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, problem resolution, and supporting monthly accruals. A degree in accounting or related field and 2–4 years AP experience are required.

Formación

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or combination of coursework and experience indicating required accounting and accounts payable knowledge.
• 2–4 years Accounts Payable experience. Must be able to show and communicate knowledge and understanding of AP accruals.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Applied familiarity with financial/accounting software packages/systems (e.g. DSL-Solomon, Dossier, Tower, SAP, Great Plains, PeopleSoft, Ceridian).
• Committed to continuous improvement of quality, quantity and timely project delivery.
• Oral and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain purchase order logs or systems and coordinate approvals.
• Assist maintenance personnel with software tracking POs, purchases, expenses and data transfer to GL/AP.
• Process invoices by reviewing, coding, approving, reconciling to POs and entering into AP system.
• Reconcile vendor statements to ensure invoices are received and processed for payment.
• Research and resolve problems or errors by reconciling invoice discrepancies with vendors and AP system.
• Maintain good relations with vendors.
