AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Finance team. The role focuses on processing vendor invoices, coding to GL, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records for timely payroll and month-end closes.

You’ll collaborate with multiple departments, embrace automation, and ensure high-quality service for internal colleagues and external vendors in a fast-paced office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in accounts payable or related accounting role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Detail-oriented with accurate record keeping.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service mindset.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
• Willing to work overtime when needed.
• Must work in-person daily in a fast-paced office.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and code to GL accounts, ensuring accuracy.
• Verify invoice details, resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
• Assist with audit requests and month-end deadlines with proper records.
• Support employee expense report processing and review.
• Build positive relationships with vendors and staff through reliable service.
• Collaborate with management, billing, facilities, IT, marketing, and owners.
• Embrace automation and evolving systems to improve workflows.
• Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally for client service.
• Assist with insurance, asset management, and general office admin tasks.
• Own assigned responsibilities and complete projects on time.
