Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC in Oregon is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. You will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations while partnering with teams across the organization.

You will process invoices, manage expense reports, and support audits in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. In-person daily work is expected to maintain quality and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365, Excel, Word, and other applications.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive problem solving with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer service mindset.
• Ability to collaborate with employees at all levels and work overtime as needed.
• In-person daily work in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities

• Invoice processing: receive, review, code, and enter vendor invoices into accounting system with accurate GL allocation.
• Verify invoice details and supporting docs; investigate discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
• Assist with audit requests and meet month-end deadlines by maintaining records.
• Process employee expense reports and coordinate with SMEs to resolve questions.
• Build relationships with vendors, employees, and internal stakeholders through responsive communication.
• Collaborate with management, billing, facilities, IT, marketing, and company owners.
• Embrace automation and evolving systems to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Provide timely, professional client service in inquiries and requests.
• Assist with insurance, asset management, general office admin, filing, and other clerical duties.
• Take ownership of responsibilities and complete projects on time.
• Complete projects and special assignments as requested.
